Alternator?

I have a 2016 F250 that has a dead battery after two days. I bought a brand new battery on Thursday afternoon and it is dead as shite this morning. Besides the alternator what else could it be? Is there something running to draw power when the key is turned off possibly?

Test the alternator it’s super easy, read voltage with a multi meter, you’ll need another person to help. Truck off battery should be in the 12s volts, while running it should be in the 14s.
Trouble shooting on cars is all about process of elimination. Start with battery, then move on. You’ll need to make sure the battery is fully charged to start the process.

If not alternator, possibly a parasitic draw of some type. Many YouTube videos on how to check for parasitic draw on an auto battery. Just internet search “checking parasitic draw with a multimeter”. If you have a parasitic draw, the diagnostic procedure won’t tell you where the draw is coming from, that requires some different diagnostic procedures to trace it.

Alternator is fine. Something else is pulling power. Had def heater replaced 2-3 weeks ago, dont know if that would have anything to do with it. Looks like Ill have to wait 3-4wks for a place in line at the dealership where it was last serviced

I think you can get it tested at Auto Zone.
An Alternator is an easy fix, I put one in my wife's Camry in about 15 minutes and I can't fix anything. It was three bolts and replace to belt over the pullies
They have rebuilt ones at most part stores for $65.00.

If the vehicle was starting the last time you turned it off and now won’t start, it is not the alternator. Ump the vehicle off and drive to auto zone where you can get them to test both the battery and the alternator.
