Try a Bailey Burger at Bailey’s Sandwich Shop. Walk up burger stand on Front Street that’s been there 40 years at least.

Fausto’s RIP. The chicken and seafood platter were scrumptious, burgers excellent and plate lunches just delicious. Then the lady retired, left it to her druggie son and he ran it in the ground within a couple of months. It might still be technically open but hardly ever any cars there. Back in the day you could barely get a parking spot at lunchtime.

It was Uncle Albert’s chicken in the 80s. I knew a guy who was often the manager on weekends. He would cook up plenty of chicken late, then close it around midnight. He and his buds would feast on the “leftover” chicken and enjoy the privilege of having the ability to play free pool, jukebox, pinball, and video games the rest of the night. Good times.
