Last time I went there, the bridge over the Red River was a one lane bridge, with a stoplight directing flow of traffic across the bridge. I also remember a display of yard decor (windmills, streamers, birdhouses, etc) at the base of the bridge.

Well, it’s been a while then. A new bridge opened in 1990.
