I don’t you have enough handles there, especially with Wilkinson who wants nothing to do with the ball. I think you could see a small lineup with ward-Wilkinson & 2 guards for sure tho. Just depends on Wards adjustment on defense

I could see a lineup of
Miller PG 6'2"
Ward SG 6'7"
Wilkinson SF 6'6"
Williams PF 6'9"
Phillips C 7'0" (if he comes, if not, another 6'9" guy)
Such a lineup wouldn't be a problem size-wise. This group may not start, but it's at least a viable option.
Juice Hill isn't spending much time on the bench for Matt McMahon. So you'll know.

I haven't looked at the schedule to see who we only play once next year but a split with UK/TN/AR/Aub feels like it would be a huge achievement.
That won't come out until later in the year. We know LSU will play Alabama, Arkansas and A&M 2x. Given the fact LSU played Kentucky and Tennessee 2x last season you'd have to expect LSU will only play them one time this season (Likely Kentucky at home and Tennessee on the road). It seems like the most likely 2x candidates are two of the group of Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, South Carolina and/or Auburn. Of course, that is just a guess. On paper that would seem to be an easier schedule than last season where LSU had to play both Florida and Auburn on the road in addition to Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee 2x. At minimum, if LSU plays Florida and Auburn only once next season I think both games would be at home.
LSU is playing in what looks to be a pretty weak Thanksgiving OOC tournament. The SEC (as a whole) and the schedule may be somewhat weaker than last year's schedule. It will be interesting to see what McMahon does with is OOC schedule. Wade's approach was to manipulate a high NET ranking by playing several under-the-radar good mid-major teams, along with 1-2 neutral site games in "pro" cities/venues (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Brooklyn - which was canceled). Wade's approach worked because LSU always had a strong NET ranking. Of course, it helped that LSU was always elite on at least one side of the ball as well. However, my only criticism with Wade's scheduling is that he never brought in any power conf. programs to the PMAC in November or December. The closest we got was Houston in 2018 which was the year that program started to really take off. It would be great for the program and fan interest to have a big name matchup in the lull between the end of the football regular season and the beginning of SEC play.

Yea I think Hill is your point guard. I think the early lineup will be something like
Hill
Miller
Wilk
Coleman
Williams
With Ward and Reed pushing to crack the lineup in place of Coleman and Wilk around conf time if not from the get go.

I agree. I'm just saying there are options for adding length in the backcourt if warranted. Miller can play point and he's a few inches taller. There are other combo guards that are taller than juice and can play the 2. Not sure how well Ward handles the ball but I've seen some write ups saying he can play 2 or 3. He's 6'7" and the tallest option. So, we have the ability to adjust.

That would be my five in the event Phillips doesn't come (or if they can't take a starting-quality rim protector in the portal if he doesn't).
But I would say they'd put Coleman at the 5 and Williams at the 4, since Williams has more of an inside-outside game and Coleman so far is strictly a post player (albeit a little bit of an undersized one).
And then we'll see what Reed can give us. If he brings a little more physicality than we think, this could end up being one hell of a good post rotation. And with Hill and Miller as your guard duo you could be a pretty freaking complete team.
It's really a pleasant surprise how far he's come. Finish with Phillips and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see LSU making big moves in the SEC standings this winter. I know the league is going to be very good at the top, but there's always a team who's way better than everybody thinks in that top group.

this will be the most complete roster heading into a basketball season since Brady's Final Four team
You people
Every single year I read this and then watch as we barely make the post season, and that extends to football and baseball as well.

Hope (and hyperbole) always spring eternal in the offseason. This would be roughly year 5 of the "most complete roster" since (insert time period).
We haven't seen this collective group of players play together. We haven't seen them shoot. We haven't seen them rebound. We haven't seen them defend. So I'm a bit unwilling to compare them to a Final Four team just yet.
Now, it is a roster that looks to be much better than what many expected could be compiled going into next season. It's a roster that looks like it can, at least, compete in the SEC. Perhaps even make the NCAA Tournament. But just because LSU doesn't look like they will lose (almost) every SEC game for the next two seasons now (as some predicted a few weeks back), doesn't mean the expectation level should switch from ridiculously low to ridiculously high. LSU's success or lack thereof doesn't exist in a vacuum. There are other teams in the SEC that can play. EVERY team is trying to improve from last season (there will be 6 teams with new HC's this year). LSU will probably be picked in the preseason to finish between 7th and 8th in the conference. That's a good baseline for EXPECTATIONS (not hope) and definitely not bad considering where the roster was 6 weeks ago.
