Go to Sunbelt rentals website.
Add $150/hr for an operator.
Figure that shite out yourself.

Around $1,500 for a week.
ETA - If you rent straight from Cat they turn those machines up. A 315 may do what you need.

ADD $150/hr for an operator, I don’t think so

They will typically not rent heavy equipment to someone who doesn’t have opteating experience on that particular piece of equipment. If you do not, you might as well figure in the cost of an operator as well.

They will rent anything if you have collateral to put up.

Better hit up some mom and pops. No one worth a shite is renting something that big to a rando.
But I pay around $550 a day for something in that class.

Well that’s definitely a fair price. What kind of hour limit is on that?

It's probably closer to $3,000 now but I rented a Cat 315 for a week for $1,500 around 1 1/2 years back. That was pure rental. Fuel will cost you a small fortune right now.

My weekly national account rate is 1800 a week but no one’s getting that off the street right now. Especially not without a shite load of insurance or something else. Also don’t forget the delivery fee they usually bake in if you aren’t a regular customer.
And most importantly, if you frick it up, it stays on rent while it gets fixed. One of my business units just found that out the hard way when they paid 3 months rent on a 30 with 60k in damage on it.

I'm not saying no way to 1500/week but I'd be very surprised if you could walk into a rental outfit and rent one that size for that amount of money. More likely upwards of $2000 or more per week. Add your loss/damage waiver and/or rental protection plan, add delivery and pickup and you may easily exceed $3000/week. Then add fuel, and do not let them fuel it back up or they'll charge 8 or more bucks a gallon for it.

A Cat 316 is 38,000 lbs. Someone suggested a Cat 315 but that’s just a reduced radius Cat 313 excavator. The 316 runs about $675 a day and about $1900 a week (3 days equal a week in the rental world. Meaning if you have it for 3 days, you might as well keep it for 7. It’ll be the same rate)
Those are just the rental rates though. Do you need delivery and pick up? If so, add some money? Need the rental insurance? If so, add more money. Need any attachments like a hydraulic thumb?
8 hours a day, 40 hours a week runtime allowed.
Probably wouldn’t rent that size to an individual without a full blown credit application and account set up.

I just went back and I was off. It was actually $1,700 for the week. They waived the delivery fee but I doubt that's happening much right now. Had a hydraulic hose get ripped out right at the fitting. Most places won't splice a new fitting on but it was for the thumb and we found a place that would make the splice. That one hose would have been around $400 to replace new.

I’d send my own mechanic out and crimp some ends on and ask for forgiveness if they called me out on it. But they never do for us. Doesn’t hurt when you have a few hundred pieces of yellow iron on rent at anytime.
