Everyone who calls in thinks most of our fans weren't fans a few years ago.
None of them have a decent question to ask.

But, from what Miles has been saying tonight, it sounds like our D won't be aggressive or blitz unless we get the opponent in 2nd or 3rd and longs. He said the down and distance wasn't right to make a high risk call. So, because Florida was able to gain yards on 1st and 2nd down, we couldn't stop them. Sounds like the short passing game, and some decent runs will put us out of our game. I don't understand what would be so horrible about being aggressive with a blitz or 2nd and 5 or 3rd and 4?
I pray we can stop SCar running game.

Call screeners work wonders for the show.

would it be that tough to lie about your topic, or being generic about it?
Or, to just ask a football question without saying, "we got your back coach, all those bandwagoners, chicken little's can get off the bandwagon"?
"I would rather just be optimistic about our team, pull the covers over my eyes and insult those tiger fans who have legitimate concerns about the team"
Yes, that's a winner

For some of our fans, yes. The others probably sound intelligent to the call screener and get put on hold for the final segment and then time runs out for the show. You know, the Les Miles Show, the "2nd Fastest Hour" radio show.

i guess if we blitz and the QB picks it up, he can get rid of the ball quick since his receivers only have 4-5 yards to run on their routes.

i agree though. something has to be done. if an offense gets big chunks of yards on 1st downs, we cant just stop being agressive alltogether.

Les can't win. Last season he took too many risks. This season, he's not aggressive enough. WTF???

You people just make shite up sometimes. I call the show every now and again and have NEVER, NOT ONCE, been asked what I was going to ask about by the guy taking my name.

Tonight I told Miles I was concerned - Like many LSU fans - about the Co-DC's ... he gave a "coach speak" response like I pretty much expected, but my point was just to let him know, just in case he doesn't read the papers or what not - that we as fans are certainly concerned about the leadership on the defensive side of the ball. In the same breathe, I prefaced that comment by saying I have utmost trust in Miles because he's proven himself to us over the last three years wheras Mallory and Peveto haven't, as least as far as making DC calls go.

I actually liked his responses about the defense later in the show, and he is correct. If you give up 5 or 6 yards on first down, you're not putting your defense in very good position to do what we need to do and make the calls that need to be made to win the game. We've got to stop giving up big yards on 1st and 2nd down or we're not going to be happy with the results, nor would any team be happy with their teams results if giving up big yards in early downs.

You should have asked about this...

LSU's defense allowed 56 points in the first six games of the 2007 season for a 9.0 average, but in the last six games of the 2007 season LSU allowed 195 points for a 32.4 average per game. In LSU's last 11 games against BCS teams, LSU has a 8-3 record and only one time did the opposition score fewer than 21 points and that was in the SEC championship game against Tennessee. In the other ten games, LSU's opponents scored 319 points for an average of 32 points per contest

1st of all, that is not a question. Second of all, it would have no affect because Les Miles knows that and has watched more film on LSU's defense than anyone on this board and he knows EXACTLY where our strengths and weaknesses are.
