1. AP and USA TODAY/Coach's Poll Disagreement

AP Poll Disagreement:
I know that we got our butt's whipped by a large margin, however I do not agree with the AP poll at all...I do not understand how USC can lose to an unranked Oregon State team at the time and they only drop from 1st to 9th. Furthermore, when LSU loses to a top 11 team, we fall, from 4th to 13th...The AP voter's should be fair about their voting and ranking's...Missouri only fell eight spots from 3rd to 11th after losing to #17 OK. State, but yet we fall nine spots when we lose to #11 Florida...This makes no sense at all!!!

If USC can lose to an unranked team and only fall nine spots and if Missouri only falls eight spots by losing to #17 Ok. State, then we should have only fallen like 4-5 spots for losing to a top 11 team, but not nine whole spots! If the AP voter's are saying to the world that we will only drop you nine spots if you lose to an unranked team, and eight spots if you lose to a #17 team, then how can the AP allow LSU to drop nine spots for only losing to a top 11 team...THE AP ISN'T PLAYING FAIR, AND THIS MAKES THE AP VOTER'S LOOK VERY BIASED AND VERY SILLY AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
I would love to e-mail the ''head honcho'' of that poll and tell that person this, and have that person explain their feelings about this very subject. Does anyone know a legit e-mail?

USA TODAY/Coach's Poll diasgreement:
I also disagree with this poll as well. Because of the same reasons as stated above. The Coaches also dropped LSU farther(for our loss to a #11 team) than they dropped USC and Missouri and they both lost to an unranked team and a #17 team respectively. These two Polls are almost a joke this year, because they are both very biased and they are making it very clear that they are voting by school not by loss. I guess if LSU would have lost to an unranked team or a #17 team, we would still be in the top 11 like Missouri and USC. It makes no sense that USC is #5 AP and #6 USA/TODAY and they lost to an unranked team at the time and LSU is #13 AP and #14 Coaches and our only loss is to a #11 school at the time. Can you people not see the bias and unfairness in the voting?

2. LSU-Florida Series Question
Florida is not in our division. We do not play Vanderbilt, South Carolina nor Kentucky every single year and they are also in the East Division. Why do we play Florida every year? Not that i am scared of them because we have beat them plenty of times, nor do i think that we should not play them every year, i was just wanting to know, do we have an agreement with their athletic department for several years of home and away games with each other? When did this agreement begin and how long is it going to last?

we play Florida every year because of the Alabama-Tennessee rivalry, and the Georgia-Auburn rivalry. It cost us the SEC west in 2006

This is a basic known of a true LSU football fan.

Not to long ago, our other east opponent that we played every year was Kentucky. Now it rotates with 2 east team each year with one moving out each year. This is the last year we play USC for a little while. I want to say we pick up Tenn. again but I may be wrong.

1. Let me help you out here cause it's pretty simple. LSU has no quality wins at all. LSU has close wins vs. some bad teams. LSU was blown the frick out of the water by 30 points. USC lost by 6. LSU has played the #66 SOS, USC has played the #3.

I hope that clears it for you as it is pretty simple.

Also I can guess that your around 12 or so, so I'll be nice. The AP is made up of a number of inidvidual voters. There is no "head honcho" that controls the poll much to your dismay.

We play UF, Bama plays UT, Auburn plays UGA, Ole Miss plays Vandy, State plays UK, and Ark plays SC.

If you ask me, that's pretty good.

We used to play UK every year, but in '01, the rule was changed to allow us to more frequently play other teams.

In the days before we had two divisions and just 10 teams, we had Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss State, and Kentucky. We would rotate Auburn, Georgia, Vandy, and Tennessee...we played the latter four twice every 8 years.

To get back to your point...Florida is probably THE team you don't want to play every year, but I say screw it...we don't wanna get bored, do we?

To your disagreement: The distance a team drops in the polls at this point in the season is based on that teams strength of schedule thus far, not necessarily the nature of the loss. For example, USC is currently #4 in the preliminary BCS polls because of their #3 ranked strength of schedule based on the games they have played. A win over Ohio State is still the best win of any one-loss team, as well as a blowout of a decent Oregon team. As USC beats up on the rest of the Pac-10 and other one-loss teams defeat better conference opponents, USC's strength of schedule will decline and they will drop in the BCS polls (remember the AP poll does not factor into the BCS at all, so whether they drop there or not doesn't mean anything).

About playing Florida every year: Every SEC West team has a fixed opponent from the East every year, and the SEC tried to match up the teams evenly.

Alabama v. Tennessee
LSU v. Florida
Auburn v. Georgia
Ole Miss v. Vanderbilt
Arkansas v. South Carolina
Mississippi State v. Kentucky

Matched up historically, as far as I can tell. Florida may have been consistently good over the past two decades, but really have nothing before that.

That's easy to answer. All the teams LSU has beaten so far - SUCK arse.

Auburn was ranked 10th at the time that we played them, and we beat them by 5, and no matter what they are ranked now, i doubt anyone can call the 10th ranked team in the country at the time the game is played, a bad team, so i would have to disagree!

Mississippi State may be a mediocre team and unranked at the time we played them, however they were/are ranked 57th by cbssports.com and we won by ten, which is a whole lot better than LOSING BY A TD TO AN UNRANKED TEAM AS USUCK DID!

Yes im 12 or so and since i have been a member since 2005 i started when i was 9 or so...

Why are USC fan's so rude, especially when i never said anything to him to begin with...Are they all suffering from NC Title withdrawawls?

USC lost by 6.

Yeah, to an UNRANKED TEAM! Which means you should have dropped ALOT more than you did, when you lost by not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4 not 5, but by 6 (that's a td) to an UNRANKED TEAM!

We only lost by 24 more points than you did and it was to the #11 team at the time which is alot more understanding and feasible!

I'd rather lose by 30 to the #11 team in the nation then lose to an UNRANKED TEAM, like USUCK DID, AND THEY WERE NUMBER 1, OMFG That WOULD be freakin' embarassing like a MOFO...I mean seriously, when was the last time LSU has lost to an unranked team? A few years ago probably? Hasn't USC lost to an unranked team like for the past couple of years or more, in a row, because i do know USC has lost more games to unranked teams in the past 5 or more years than LSU has! AND THAT IS A FACT!!! SO STICK THAT UP UR AZZ AND ENJOY IT!

When the season is over, USC's going to have 1 quality win all season (unless the Bucks tank but I doubt it). If LSU wins out it won't even be close.

I'd rather lose to Florida by 30 than a 1-2 Oregon St. team by .99. Hell, I'd even rather lose to Ole Miss by 30....

USC may have stayed in the top 10, but they did lose about only 1 less spot than LSU did.

Yeah, I know this, because the Hat kicks arse - I'm just sayin', so far, we have BEATEN NOBODY. Apparently Auburn sucks this year.

But we will win the rest of our games.

Hell, LSU can drop another game against UGA/Bama/Ole Miss/SC and it still isn't close.

You really think we will win the rest? IT's sure going to be fricking tough.

Well, OK, I'll be honest, I think we'll drop one. But it won't be to Bama or Georgia. Prolly to Ole Miss.

We beat Georgia because the hat has never beaten Georgia. That is enough right there to make him want it bad enough to do it.

We beat bama because the decibel level will surpass the Earthquake game. I was at the Earthquake game - it was awesome, and that one pass was even more exciting than all the plays in 2007 - BUT, I think Saban returning to TS is enough to make 90,000 drunk tiger fans - old and young alike - yell loud obscenity to no end. Well probably set off the seismograph for the entire game. Do not discount home field advantage.

Dude, to beat SC, Bama, and Georgia only to lose to Ole Miss as decent as they are would still suck major arse.
