- If you’re looking for something a bit more casual, can’t go wrong with Vanguard in Bay View. Great selection of sausages.
- Sobelman’s is one of the go-to spots for a bloody, curds and a burger. That’s over by Marquette.
- On a bit of the ‘upscale’ side, Odd Duck is one of the better shared plates restaurants you’ll find in Milwaukee. Walker’s Point is a pretty central neighborhood — easy walk back into Third Ward, if you’re trying to go to some bars.
- Points East Pub in the Lower East Side is no frills — grab a burger, wings, curds, pint, etc. Great spot to hang and have good food.
Above all, Milwaukee is a tavern town. There are bars everywhere you look. Truly a fun city to explore.

I don’t have dinner recommendations but you gotta get some Kopp’s Frozen Custard.

All solid recommendations. I do like La Merenda a little better than Odd Duck for small plates.

Carnevor steakhouse downtown. Very good steak joint.
Mo's ain't bad either as a steak house, but Carnevor is my #1 by a lot.

what about Mader's German restaurant? seems like that would be a fun place to go with the kids? I appreciate the other recommendations too :-)
