re: Parents of the OT, what’s the weirdest interaction you’ve ever had with another parent?

Strictly weird (not counting shitty parenting/neglect), not my kid: friemd’s 11 yo daughter has birthday party at top golf. Only girls in her class and a couple of neighborhood girls (friends going to a different school) are invited. So maybe 12-15 girls total. Most parents either drop kids off for the party but some parents hang out in the background with each other. One of the invited kid’s dad brings his wife and older son.
So the top golf pods are groups of 11 year old girls, and one pod with this guy, his wife, his son, and the (invited to party) daughter. Guy orders beers on the birthday girl’s parents’ tab. Parents of birthday girl had to pay for three extra golfers and the guy’s beer.

This is my friend's kid and its not really an interaction, just a very strange thing.
It was about 5-6 years ago, but his daughter was in 2nd grade at the time. Her class was invited to a girl in the class birthday party. He had to bring her because his wife had to bring their other kids somewhere, but it was a "spice girls" themed party.
He said the only thing he could figure out was that the mom was a spice girls fan when they were popular in the late 90s and somehow that resulted in her daughter having a Spice girls birthday party.

After reading this I was thinking, "okay, that doesn't seem too weird, maybe they are going to get their own bay on the other side or something."
Then I read this:
