They are all the about the same and cost about the same. Depending on where you are staying and how fast you want to party you can get them a little cheaper in Navarre at it is about a 45 ride to Crab Island

Ruined Crab island. I refuse to take my boat there. Idiots with no boating experience run into shite daily.
But yes, they are all the same price and type of boat. Legendary might be slightly cheaper but it’s about a 20 minute ride.

I used Dockside Watersports a few years back. Rented a half day and it was around $300 if I recall correctly. They didn’t even require a boaters license
. You pay and they give you a short talk about how to get to Crab Island and you can ask about other places to visit if you’d like. It was a very smooth process. I’d do it again. Another poster is correct though, you’ve gotta be mindful of other idiots out there. Get out there early and grab a good spot and you don’t have to worry about navigating around the morons.

Folks trying to move the boat with the prop out the water.
Folks riding through cutting anchor lines.
Folks not anchoring correctly and boat floats away.
I’ve seen it all out there in the last 25 years.
Oh we’ve used Luther’s mostly over the years to rent a boat. No complaints.

So it’s like going to the Lake Maurepaus sandbar but with cleaner water.

I thought someone was going to get shot.
6 50+ footers tied up in unison. Party barge driving 15' in front of them while his anchor drug across the island floor ripping up each of their anchors. It wasn't pretty.

Last time I went to Crab Island was on a Luther's rental. No complaints from me either.
The only downside is we got a pretty nasty storm that blew up while we were out there and they called all the boats back in. Trying to navigate under that bridge on an incoming tide in a storm with 3' swells caused a major pucker factor.
The kind of pucker factor I don't sign up for on a vacation.

Weekdays are usually less chaotic....
Anchor near the edges of the shallows and away from any commercial barges/boats - esp away from the Destin Bridge.
Not sure how many are out there anymore as Destin and the County were trying to regulate them.
