I think the loss is exactly what we needed

There are countless examples of a loss, especially a humiliating one,re-focusing the players on what the coaches have been saying all along. You can't walk around with a swagger for very long in this league. I do agree that we need to blitz more, but considering that Coach Miles had to dispose of the cornerstone of his recruiting strategy, I think we've done alright. Look at what the loss to Ole Miss did for Florida. We weren't going to go into The Swamp,at night and beat an already wounded Gator team that had been given all the bulletin board material it could ever want-with a RSF QB making his first road start. Maybe Coach Miles will not allow anymore GameDay specials that inflate further the egos of our defense.

I couldn't agree more but I am not too sold on the Co-dc's (there seams to be a lack of leadership as well). Hope I am wrong and they come out with a major chip on their shoulder and really put it to USCe. Time will tell and

I agree 100%...I hope it was enough to get their heads out of their asses.
It was just embarrasing to watch our defensive players standing over UF players after giving up huge chunks of yards. They looked silly and childish. There was no room for trash talk from LSU players during that arse kicking.

I don't think this dead horse has been beat enough. I think this horse needs it's arse kicked until something changes for the better.

No it wasn't. Especially not to Florida. Why do we have to have these kinds of games against Florida? I hate them so much, I'd almost rather beat them and lose to everyone else. I would love nothing more than to win out and get a shot at them in the SECCG, but somehow I don't see it happening.

Yes it was. We were almost to the point of no return as far as losses go. And we lost, big time. I do not despise Florida as much as I do Auburn, and Alabama. I would think a lot of LSU fans would agree. All that being said, I think we have a chance to have a very nice season in several different ways. And somehow I dont think we could ever come out as flat again as we did in Florida. Its a new season. and we can rise back to the top, with Florida being our redemption when we get to see them in Atlanta.

its true. I cant count how many LSU fans were almost wanting the LSU baseball team to lose a game before the regionals, just so they would "get that loss out of the way, and not be too cocky."
Maybe this happened to us. Look at the Giants.

if Nick Saban is half the coach Miles is, he will go ahead and lose to Ole Miss this weekend.

i just hope they don't like the taste of this arse whooping and are mad as hell to get it out. then, we will be fine, there was a good bit of arrogence as of late in the program. I want a shot back at UF this year.

Saban already had this happen...to La-Monroe & Miss St last year. Our defense has the talent and I believe is well coached too...the players, the 18-20 yr old players, needed to be brought down to earth and if what they experienced in the Swamp didn't do it, nothing will.

LSU never needs to have 51 points racked up on them IMO.

A loss may help to motivate the tigers! If the d-coaches and players do not get on the same page, it won't matter how motivated they are.

true. but it happened. IF we came out that flat against Tennessee they would probably beat us, but only 17-14 or something. We just happened to come out flat against a pissed off Florida team. And guess what, as pissed off as all those Florida fans were after the loss to Ole Miss........they have totally redeemed themselves. Who doubts Florida now?

BS any HS coach could have done a better job against the option, and ZERO pressure on the QB, t-bow would fake a a run then step back and still have zero pressure. The 2 DC s is not going to work especially when they both suck

no they would not. Oh and I like the way that you prophetically know exactly where to lay the blame. An option is tough to defend. Just because you are probably good at stopping it on the xbox doesn't mean it is that easy to stop it in real life.
Stop trying to dissect what went wrong in the game saturday. Maybe only 1 percent of people on this board actually know how to tell what needs to be corrected. Don't listen to the Tiger nation grumble about what went wrong. Just know that we didn't win, and the people that are being paid a lot of money to correct it....are correcting it. When you get paid a lot of money to coach NCAA football for a living, let me know. Then I might beleive in your opinion that, "any HS coach could do better than LSU's staff."
