I like the lineup shake. I still will argue against putting Crews our best or second best hitter in the lead off spot. Looking forward to taking the series today, and going for the sweep tomorrow. Money is in need of a big game for himself.

I think it’s mainly due to the LH starting for Mizzou. Interesting Gio’s in for Stevenson. Maybe Stevenson’s splits against lefties aren’t great. Or maybe Dugas is farther away from being ready than we hoped, and he wants to get our 4th OF some SEC ABs.

He likes it there, and Jay did say they used to hit Kris Bryan leadoff so he’d lead off at least one inning and either get pitched to and get something he can hit or leadoff with a walk and Berry up with 1 on and no outs.
I know Berry had a great game last night, and Crews got a couple hard hit knocks. And they both have good season stats. But honestly, I don’t think either one of them haven’t gotten hot yet (relative to what they’re capable of). They’re both capable of going on a Jobert-like hot streak and keeping it going longer than him. But without the extended slumps. If we can get them both going at the same time, look out. Doughty and Morgan should provide ample protection. Morgan’s injury obviously sucks, but I think it was the catalyst to moving him down in the order, which may have been a blessing in disguise.
Any news on Beloso? He had a nice AB going to the opposite field against a lefty (I think). We don’t have much RH pinch-hitters, but it’d be nice if Beloso can eventually give us some competitive ABs at the end of games against righties and lefties.
