Have any of you guys used the WaterSnake trolling motors. I wasn't looking to spend a ton on a TM and was wondering if I should give the Watersnake Shadow 44 a try.

I never heard of it so I looked it up. You can get the Minn Kota Edge for almost the same price. I’d go with the Minn Kota.

I have been waiting on motorguide to send a steering housing for my x3i for 8 weeks. It’s under warranty but about to buy a new minn kota and sell tie motorguide once it gets fixed.

I wouldn’t frick around with a no name company.

try going through mercury marine and see what they say, they are who makes all the parts for motorguide TM

i had a mounting bracket i couldnt find and a dealer turned me onto the mercury marine as a backup to get parts. they had the damn thing mailed to me in 3 weeks. its worth trying

i totally agree here ^^^^^^^^
stay away from names you never heard off, odds are higher they wont save you money in the long run then getting a name brand

Thanks for the replies, I think I'm gonna just bite the bullet and get a Minn Kota. The extra $150 will proabably be worth it.

Worth it alone on the warranty imo. Had a second hand Terrova blow a lower seal and ruin the motor, they had a shop in Laffy fix it under warranty
