We have been looking at these options as well for our family of 4 - first time for the kids (12,10)

There's a lot to like about Snowmass, but it is a 4 hour drive from DEN, whereas Park City and Steamboat are much less.

Just not sure if its worth the extra drive- especially heading back to the airport to come home?

I wouldn’t say Steamboat is much less of a drive than Aspen - Aspen is about 3.25 hrs from Denver and Steamboat is about 2.75 hours without traffic. Both take 70 so no real difference in traffic either.

Park City at about 40 minutes from the AIRPORT is way more convenient than either.

You can fly directly into snowmass

One thing we liked about Snowmass is the lift tickets are good for all of the mountains in the area. We spent our last day at Buttermilk (bus ride, but was not bad at all) and had a great time, tons of green runs that had awesome views of the Rockies.

Flying into Aspen is worth every penny, can skip the rental car and just shuttle to where you are staying. The bus system there is amazing.
