I have many of the same friends I had in HS, but, sadly it's gotten where i really don't like doing things with them. When you are younger everything is new and fun so you're all just having a great time and can spend days around each other without anyone getting on your nerves. Now some of them get on my nerves before the would-be event even starts. They make things so complicated!
Them: What time?
Me: I don't care. Whenever
Them: How about 6:30?
Me: I don't care. Come by anytime, you can come by at 2 for all i care.
Them: Do we need to bring something? Are we eating?
Me: Nah, we'll grill something or whatever...maybe just order pizza
Them: If it's pizza I need blah blah blah
Me: -
Them: Who all is coming?
Me: don't know (sigh)
Them: i can call so and so blah blah blah

Another reason is just a lack of common things to talk about. I actually would like to get together sometimes, but we have different interests now. I could say that they have no interests. Let's talk about something interesting!
Also, i think people use to confide with their buddies more. Now, everyone is trying to make that Fakebook image a reality. Once we could bitch about our GF's but now ones that have horrible wives won't say a peep. They will tell me something that is going on that would piss me off. I can't believe they don't bitch about it. Nope, not these days. What kind of friendship is that? You should be able to relax and vent your frustrations.

I get the picture, you’re the a-hole, not your friends.

That’s just common decency when going to someone’s house.

Hey what time do you want people there? Do you need me to bring anything? Two completely logical and appropriate questions.

We always have people over at my house for functions. I really don’t like it when people come before we expect them to because if I have things to do before the function it kind of throws me off a bit because I feel like I have to entertain them if they’re over
