Family of 9 youngest is 1 year old. So being somewhere we can walk in and out is great.

Went there for New Years a few years ago. Big closed off main drag so crowded but room to get around. Great place and probably fine for the entire family.
Edit… assume you aren’t planning on a late night out with small kids or a 1 year old in tow. An early night out for a family should be fine.

It’s a big party destination now. I’m not saying don’t go, but I’d be careful about picking a location for a family trip. Especially for NYE.

100% this. I don't mean to be overly negative but I've been there twice and it sucks. Bunch of Bachelerette parties drinking giant penis drinks and a bunch of overpriced bars playing bro country. It's an odd combo of Gatlinburg, Vegas, and Disneyland (without the groomers).
I can think of twenty places I'd rather go for NYE.

Okay, good info. We did Disney a couple years in a row, looking for a break in the craziness with crowds. Any suggestions. Thought about skiing but wife is concerned about flying with little ones. Not really intrested in the beach either
