re: I still think this team needs more shooting

If you dig in it seems to be a combo of 2 things:
1.) Lack of secondary elite talent to free up and set up BI most of the year
2) Shot selection emphasis going even stronger to the mid range.
I think the Pels actually have more 3-pt shooting than we realize. I assume, with the return of Zion, BI will go back to where he was his first 2 years at NO. A very solid 38.5% 3-pt shooter, 42.6% on C&S...and very importantly, 35% of his total shots taken being 3-pters. We currently don't shoot enough 3s and shoot them very poorly. BI should help this "problem" next year...since he had dropped to 32.7% on 3s/36.3% C&S/with ONLY 23% of his shots coming from 3-pt range this year. This is a horrible developement (although maybe necessary with current team makeup)
Herb will improve his 3-pt shot next year. I woulda been VERY happy with 33/34% this year. I think he'll end up at 34/35%. (Next year, I expect 36/38% from 3 by Herb) And although his 3-pt "usage rate" is a very poor 29.4%, that is deceiving because of the incredible 35/37 "foot faults" he has suffered while attempting what are suppose to be 3-pt attempts. His adjusted 3-pt usage is right around the target of 36%.
By the way, the last thing we want to do with Herb is make him ONLY a corner 3-pt shooter. He shoots close to 50% of his 3s from above the break & 50% from the corner, and his shooting % is very close from either location. Making someone ONLY a corner 3 shooter, when they have the same success from non-corner...imo, is not very smart as it has many downsides associated with it, which, since this post is already TOO long, I won't go into at this time.

you were on herb from day 1 when most of us thought he’d be in the D league most of the year. You post as often and as long as you want son

Don't you have a running count of Herb's toe on the line 2s? Is that what the 35/37 number was? Because if he had 35 more 3s made that would make him a very good 3 point shooter.
