It's really not, you have to tip your doordash driver which adds up fast.

I wouldn't have signed up and spent the money for the for the Walmart+ delivery service if I had known it uses tipped labor. But you aren't required to tip. Although it automatically fills in a $10 tip you can 0 it out. Their FAQ page says you don't have to tip, so

I have gotten deliveries from people just in their cars (I don't know if it's Doordash based) but I have also gotten deliveries from Walmart trucks themselves I think. They don't seem the brightest though, one guy took a picture of all of my groceries in the back of his trunk as proof of delivery.

Like mentioned above, they are really hit or miss on stock. I always expect at least a few items on my list to be out of stock. It sucks to wait 2 days to get something you need and then it's out of stock, and you have to get your lazy arse to the store anyway.

My son works for Walmart, we get Walmart plus free as a benefit. Even free it annoys me. At least i get the $.05 off gas.

So each Walmart is different in the delivery services they offer. They have their own version of door dash drivers that are independent just like a door dash driver. They use door dash and just about all the delivery services. The way they get your no tip order is to bundle it with someone who actually tipped to try to get it delivered without having to up the pay for the order. If they can't bundle it and screw a driver then they may add a couple bucks to the delivery. Door dash and Walmart don't pay nearly enough when you can just go grab passengers on Uber and lyft and make $30+ an hour no matter the day or time (well except Sundays). You can make $50+hr if you are willing to work Friday and Saturday nights. Doordash base pay is $2.50/delivery and they rely on tips. That is how you get idiots delivering your walmart order for no tip.

Yea but it's doordash here, dudes are getting $2.50 to deliver my stuff, i feel bad.

My friend can get the drone deliveries out by the lake, it's a complete novelty but still fun to watch. I was shocked both times at how accurate the drops were, even in the wind.

Yeah I think that’s part of the procedure. You snap a picture of the groceries and send it to the customer
