Swap #1's and Eagles get a 3rd, a 7th, and a #2 in 2024. I like it.

Loomis knows they will be getting future draft compensation when they trade SP. I think that's also a reason they were willing to trade all of those picks for Watson.

Would not call it very good but it very much fits the way they have played for the last 20yrs

If we go 4-13 and they end up with the 5 pick or something next year this is a shitty trade

We aren't going 4-13 lol

It’s not out of the realm of possibility

If we go 4-13 or worse I'll never post on this website again

I will reserve my judgment until after the draft. Let's see what we do with the two #1's.

Are we going to the NFC Championship game? Because even if we do, we still "lose" this trade if you go by any of the typical NFL Draft Pick calculators.

And Drew Brees was a 2nd rounder and Tom Brady was picked in the 6th round.
NFL Conventional Wisdom is often just hyped-up groupthink.
How often is a team 5 years removed from one of the greatest drafts in league history, netting 3 long-term keepers and 3 others that just couldn’t stay because there’re only so many players you can pay? How many times is this “trade value” chart counting the team that lOsT THe TraDe! Getting an extra 1&2 or 2 1s in the next couple years because of the ever so rare coach trade?
Dominant defense, special OL and Skillplayers (Kamara and CGM) and maybe JUST MAYBE they have a better grasp of what Jameis is capable of… perhaps they see a “top level contender” team that given the right piece or two at the right spot or two can make as legit a run as anyone… ???????.
I’m not a fan of WHEN this trade took place—feel like trading picks when you don’t know who’s available doesn’t make much sense—but take that “conventional wisdom” crap and flush it.

Would have been much better if this trade happened next year. IMO
Much better QB class next year.

Weird things happen in the NFL man. A couple key injuries can derail the season for virtually every team.
This trade might very well work out in our favor, but it’s unquestionably risky. Can’t rule out the possibility that we wind up in the first third of next year’s draft, which would make this trade a disaster.

Must hope to hell we don’t package up those 2 picks to trade into top 10 to get Pickett.

There is no way of knowing if this is a very good trade until we actually utilize the assets and then see how they pan out. High risk high reward. Should have a pretty good idea by about this time next year.
