Wade was a flat out average coach with good “recruiting.” That isn’t what wins in March and his results show it.
So sad. Shift to another alter.

He coached in two Marches and only got one NCAA tourney out of it.. He went to the SEC Tourney final last year and dominated a good St. Bonaventure team. He then lost a close game to a 1 seed as an 8 seed. He didn't have multiple chances to coach in the Tourney.
It took him a while to figure out recruiting players that could handle defense. He did that this season. Next years team was going to have a stacked roster with ball handlers, shooters, attackers, and defenders. Also, players like Brandon Murray, Alex Fudge, and Efton Reid would've been a year older. He would've had two Centers in Efton Reid and Traore with Traore probably starting because of his ability to move at his size on defense. Julian Phillips was going to be an absolute stud. Adam Miller is one of the best ball handlers in the country.
The team was going to be absolutely fricking stacked. Especially if Eason stayed. The team would've probably been top 10 in the nation in offensive efficiency and top 10 in defensive efficiency. That's what makes up a top 5-10 team in the country.
He'd already proven he could coach teams to top offensive efficiency and this year he proved he could a defensive team. Next year would've been his first with both. LSU was about to dominate in the SEC next season and then finish with a 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Hard to deny this logic. WW won 1 Tournament game at LSU. Just 1.
