Thats all fine and dandy, but i don't think I want to play florida again this year with this defense. I don't thing SC will be a push over either. Georgia will throw all over our secondary.

Our defense is awful. Simply awful. The D line gets shoved around, run on and gets no pressure on the QB. The secondary does not get beat so much physically as it is out of position with monotonous regularity. Have the LBs played in any of the games yet?

Wait, I keep reading on here how bad LSUs D-line is this year. At the beginning of the year all I read on here was how dominating the D-line was gonna be with at least 9 or 10 interchangable players, one as good as the other. My, how these posts have changed after losing one game. And yall say Bama fans are irrational. It's one game. LSU still has a good defense (maybe not as good as you would have liked but still good) and a good team. All this game proved was that anybody is beatable on any given Saturday. It also proves that fans, be it BAMA or LSU fans, should not rush to say how great their team will be before any games are even played.

Agreed
Les and the team (notice I said LES and the team) need to understand there is no margin of error - a two loss team will not be in NC this year or probably not in the SEC champ game- Alabama will most likely run the table- the only game they stand to lose now is LSU-- and if we lose that game- we don't deserve to go to anything

The honor of LSU is now at stake- will they arise to the match the integrity and grit of the two NC teams?

You want good news...
... In a nutshell.

1. LSU is still very much in control of its own destiny.
2. LSU plays at South Carolina this weekend. This can be a good team building opportunity.
3. LSU will then have a FIVE GAME homestand.
4. Win out and LSU can play UF again.
5. Winner of that game plays in the National Championship Game.

Step off ledge. Plenty of football left to be played. Sometimes a good butt kicking is all you need to get it all going. It worked wonders for UF.

Thanks for adding sane reality to this board!

Agree with everything except #5, unless Florida wins. Not likely LSU plays in BCS NC game after that loss. Other than that, I totally agree.

Of course, if others would jump off the ledge I could get some season tickets next year.

what if LSU beats Florida in the SECCG? Wouldn't this cancel out Florida's win over LSU, regardless of the score?

NO ONE LOOKED AT FLORIDA AFTER THEIR LOSS TO OLE PISS AS A CONTENDER BUT ONE GOOD arse SHALACKING LATER THEIR BACK IN IT. WE HAVE TWO GOOD OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE A STATEMENT LATER THIS SEASON. HELL, MAKE IT THREE WITH THE GAME THIS WEEKEND. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS CLINCH THE WEST AND FIND RETRIBUITON IN THE SEC CG. HOPEFULLY FLORIDA MAKES IT THERE.

You might as well get it through your head that this is NOT a national championship team

Just like last years baseball team wasnt a National Championship team last year when they struggled early. I know baseball didnt win it all, but they played for it all. Anything can happen when a team rebounds and comes together.
