I am trying to upgrade my generator situation this year after getting by during Ida with a Honda 3500W gasoline generator. That thing was great, but I hated having to wait in lines at the gas station. I also don't want to pay $10,000 for a whole-home generator either. So I decided a cheaper option would be a tri-fuel generator to run off my gas line like this one.

My question is, how much should I expect to pay to add a new natural gas line to feed this generator? Recommended contractors or other advice is also welcome.

Just buy a long hose. Im about to convert my generator. You might be able to convert your Honda. I plan on unhooking my dryer or something and using a hose to generator.

Where are you hooking it up, electrically? Or are you going to just put a drop on the back porch and run extension cords? The extra drop could also be used for a NG burner.

I simply had a plumber add a tee between the meter and the house. The parts were maybe $40. He was already hooking up my pool heater, so it was included, but it might have taken him 30 mins.

The hose and quick connects (if you desire) will be the most expensive parts.

Is it still taking 48 weeks to get a 25k liquid cooled unit?
My contractor ordered us one in January and I have not heard anything back from him as to where we are in the pipeline.
