Miles at OSU

Les had some success at OK State, beating OU in '01 and '02. He got them as high as #17 before the '03 rivalry game. What does Miles do. He starts mouthing off about how the torch has been passed and OSU is now the dominant program in the state. Stoops and his team finally had enough and spanked him 52-9.
Les didn't learn. He started trashing Saban and 'Bama during the past year. History is about to repeat. The guy is an absolute meathead idiot.

It's quite possible he had to say that, with all the Pickens money being poured into the program. I assume T. Boone Pickens was dropping loads of cash on Okie State then. Talking a big game was probably important.

If you haven't lived in OK, you don't know (really) the amount of smack Les talked in those days. He came off as an errogant idiot, and Stoops put a smack down on him. His only claim to fame in OK was beating OU twice and then jumping ship to LSU during his teams' bowl game and pretty much phoning in the loss.
He has generally done okay at LSU when speaking to the press. He left OSU to Gundy who will go down in history for his "I am a man" speech. He learned that sort of thing from Miles.
Bottomline: The kids played hard on Saturday, and you can only really blame the coaching staff for not making necessary adjustments to help shore up the blood letting.
Trash talking is just silly. Let's all remember the French trash talking about Michael Phelps.
