Every one knew going into this game that UF would try to get Harvin matched up against LSU's weakness: McCray or a linebacker. How in the world did the LSU coaching staff allow McCray and Beckwith to cover Harvin on their first 2 touchdown plays when EVERY LSU fan out there knew this was the one thing we could not do defensively?

Seriously. Every freaking LSU fan I know said before the game that we can't have McCray or a Linebacker covering Harvin and our genius coaching staff allowed just that. I have absolutely ZERO faith in the defensive coaching staff that they didn't foresee this or didn't scheme to make sure it would not happen. Its sickening.

Maybe they played it like that due to needing them in run support. Didn't matter obviously, but thats my best guess.

Really? like he did the past two seasons? Oh wait, Harvin has never scored a TD against LSU in his career until yesterday.

Beckwith on Harvin is beyond comprehension. A defensive guru like Saban must be laughing his arse off at our co-DC's who are in way our their heads.

I never said he was terrible. I simply pointed out that he has never scored against LSU until covered by McCray or Beckwith. Your comment that he would rape whoever was covering him is refuted by the fact that LSU had never let Harvin score on them in his career until saturday.

florida is one of them teams that has athletes or playmakers at every skill position. any team in america will have similiar problems with florida when they execute like they did last night. florida played as well as any team i've seen in the last 15 yrs last night. lsu meanwhile played flat and out of sync.peveto and mallory need to have a sit down and work there communication problems out among themselves. the main thing is these kids need to have short memories and prove the fanbase wrong. i'm a believer and think that this team will bounce in a positive way.

No florida didnt. The only reason you are saying Florida played so well is because your team was on the idiot end of that woodshed beating.

Florida allowed 2 drives that absolutely shouldnt have resulted in LSU touchdowns.

They kicked 3 field goals which all could have been touchdowns. They left AT least 12 points out there saturday night.

Their kickoff coverage was god awful.

Florida beat LSUs arse so hard....but we still arent playing to our full potential

It was a zone defense, what's so hard to comprehend about that?

Oh, so only Florida gets excuses?

And why should Florida absolutely not have allowed 2 LSU TD drives? We earned them, they were both probably 8-10 play drives, we earned them.

You wanna play that game, your 1st TD NEVER should have happened, off of a tip for crying out loud. The pick 6 never shoulda happened. The deep ball to Louis Murphy never shoulda happened.

Hell, that's 3 TDs I just came up with. Both teams can play that game.

According to CM in today's Advocate, there was supposed to be safety help on that play & the safety helped out on another WR. Either way, however, DM was beat & if TT had thrown a better pass it would have been an easier touchdown.

Florida kicked our arse, but if you think that was lsu's best effort you are sadly mistaken. LSU gave up the big play early and never recovered, its hard to do at the swamp but they played shitty. We made lots of mistakes yall didn't, can't do that when you play a talented team like Fl

But when a cornerback is thinking he has safety help, you usually they play off the WR a bit and try to cut off the shorter routes, and usually the WR gets behind them a bit because they know they have help up top.

also TT had all day. tough to expect the defense to contain Harvin for that long period of time.
