You have a group of people who are overly optimistic of his potential. Almost bias with it. Like they’re playing favorites. They don’t acknowledge flaws, etc.
Then you have the group who is overly annoyed by this, so in turn it causes arguments and people to even start disliking Brennan a little bit.
It really is a sad display of lower human nature. But it is what it is.

I admit I have a bias with him because he’s a local guy from a well known family who grew up wanting to play QB for LSU like myself most of us here did. He’s the 0.1% who have actually done it so of course we want him to do well.
That said, I’m rational enough to understand this can’t be the overriding factor in who plays.
