Where’s a good source to find land on a bayou or body of water? I’d like to build a camp in the near future. Looking around Central Louisiana.

For an app, onX Hunt. It won't show you what is available, but it will show you the parcel and who owns it.

Drive around the area you want to build and look for FOR-SALE signs. There will always be lots for sale that don't get listed on the internet.

Plus, it gives you a feel for the area if you've never been there.

the only thing less permanent then a boat, is a camp

find something solidly surrounded by at least 5 miles of land near your favorite boat launch and build or buy a house there as a camp. anything on the water wont be there any more in 5-10 years

I agree with building a house rather than a camp, but camps and houses have been on the water for 200 years in Cenla and that won't change. At least not in 5-10 years. Or are you saying it will all be bought up? A lot of CenLa land is owned by big farmers or timber companies. Just onX the area and see what looks good and look on land watch.
