Look in today’s game, QB have to be able to make plays with their feet.

People have been saying this for 15 years. It's not anymore true now than it ever has been.

Is it though? The athlete part in QB’s have progressed significantly in the last 15 yrs. I am not saying he needs to be Vick or Cam but just good enough to make defenses concerned that he could scramble for a first on 3rd and short/medium.

Bryce Young, burrow, corral, Mahomes, Herbert, all have great running ability that allows them to create when plays break down. It absolutely needs to be part of a qbs game. Especially when your oline 2-4 new players getting playing time on it (fiu kid, shorts, Campbell & jones potentially). Doesn't have to run a 4.5 or anything, just ability to escape 1 guy, and if they can run effectively it adds a dimension on rpo's/options. Just something else for defense to think each play

That's what was so frustrating with max. He was supposed to be dual threat, and until the atm game, he forgot he could run up field when escaping the pocket.

Maybe you just haven’t been paying attention for the last 15 years. Except for Brady, all of the top qb’s now have some scrambling ability. Even Brady is known for his movement with it the pocket.
