The worst part of the whole thing, is next time there is a deadly pandemic that actually does kill 5% of people, and kids, people aren't going to listen. The 2020 hysteria was a long term frickup. What are they going to say then? "This time, we're serious!"

No doubt, the Covid overreaction is going to cost millions of lives in a real pandemic.

Exactly. We live in a world of ridiculous hyperbole and sensationalism. When EVERYTHING is a "crisis", nothing is a crisis. Exaggeration leads to zero credibility.

Just like when school districts now cancel school for any hint of significant inclement weather. After the 7th or 8th time you do it and the weather turns out to be far less severe than you feared it would be people stop giving you the benefit of the doubt.
