What is your take on it MSB. I'm hoping to keep this thread over here.

The only thing I can chalk it up to is a terrible fricking game. You erase everything you have to do with it and move forward. LSU is a MUCH better team than it showed last night regardless of schemes and gameplans.

I can't believe the defense got beat like that. Florida was on a mission that game.

I agree. On top of just flat out playing bad, everything was going wrong on top of it. I didn't even Watch any more when UF went up 41 to 14. At least UGA and Bama are both home games. One thing I will say that really surprised me was our line play. I really thought we would own the Gators there.

ETA: I can't even remember the last LSU game that was on T.V. that I didn't finish watching. Probably Saban's blowout loss against UGA.

Defense was horrible, don't know if was just a terrible game or bad schemes. I wasn't a fan of the DC situation, I hope Les revisits that position in the off season.

To early to jump the gun yet......but if that is how we are going to look on D in the future I definitely agree with you. That was our worst defensive performance in a very long time. Spurrior handing us our arse back in the day was probably the last time.

I agree about the OLine play. What tells me it was a terrible game is the way Charles Scott was hit everytime he touched the ball. I'm sorry, but Florida's DLine isn't that good. I knew from the beginning when they were stuffing him, it was going to be a long game.

Having a bye week before the FLA game didn't help much. Lost any edge we may have had.

yeah, but the last time that happened was 2001 and they were just better and our D was not good. We have more talent now, no excuse for that. I was mildly concerned after MSU, but was willing to write if off as a let down after Auburn, now I'm not so sure.

Having a bye week to work on fundamentals and basics, in addition to gameplanning, and coming out looking so bad is kinda concerning. I can't believe how bad both of our lines looked last night.

I hate a lot of feelings:

We need to blitz more. Thats how Ole Miss put pressure on Tebow, and thats how Alabama is doing well. Watch Alabama, they bring the heat every third down play. I'm depressed about our defense situation. Our secondary is talented, but young... if the quarterback has all day, they're gonna get torched. Bottom line.

The offensive line play was horrendous. I'm going to leave it at that.

Lee has a long way to go, but... come on, its his first start at the swamp. He didn't have a Marcus Randall to bail him out.

I wasn't so upset by the 'trash talk' by our players late in the game.. I didn't really see it as trash talking, but more as just trying to inspire our boys to keep playing hard.

So that said, I will watch NFL today, not think about LSU for a week and hope for a different performance at South Carolina.

LSU's strength was there supposed O and D line. Both were getting blown up last night. I was amazed at how we got manhandled last night. Our defense looked horrible. I don't like the fact that we didnt blitz much at all and gave Tebow all the time in the world. Lee showed flashes of brilliance, but he also showed flashes of him still being a freshman. I was truely amazed that we got spanked in every faze of the game. Meyer had his team well prepared. Props to Florida, you were definitely the better team last night.

I didn't think it was as bad as others. Adrenaline got UF up 17-0 very quickly. After that it was a pretty close game. The deficit was just too much to overcome. The deficit forced LSU to abandon their gameplan and lead to the game getting out of hand.

LSU MUST blitz more. I'm also all for firing Peveto/Mallory. They never should have been promoted to begin with imo.

Yeah I fired them plenty of times last night! I'm hoping they, as well as the team, learn from last night and overcome this situation. I'm very curious about adjustments they will make after this game.

+1

They already were pissed off, and were building that fire. "Luckily" for us, RJF ran his damn mouth. Not saying we would have won, but you mix that stupid trash talking with the first tipped TD to Harvin, and it was over quickly.

I also enjoyed the fact that Meyer never took his foot off the gas last night too.

Like I said, LSU is a better team than what they showed last night. In college football, there are going to be games like this. I don't care who you are. Imagine if LSU was a 40 point favorite at home. That's just one example of 1000's. The only teams that don't do things like what happened last night are Championship teams. I think everyone with half a brain knew, even before the season started, that LSU was not a championship team this year. That's just the reality.

I thought after the rest of the top teams lost that LSU could be the OSU of last year. A team that thought coming into the year that they were rebuilding, but got on a roll and overachieved.

I did say 9-3/10-2 before the season and marked this one as a loss.

Who is the player of the game last night? Harvin? I missed most of the 4th quarter and have to write an article on the game.
