Great Pyrenees. Very protective without being unnecessarily vicious. Mine has been in a couple of scraps with my neighbors Golden Retrievers (who are good dogs)...once to protect my wife's dumbass Boston Terrier who decided to pick a fight with the 4 GRs and once to protect my 10 year old stepson when 1 of the GRs approached him on our property in a less than friendly manner. Both times, she just barrelled into the Alpha GR, knocking him down, and then stood over him with a look that said "Dude, you don't want none of this". Just enough force to remedy the situation.
