Perhaps the loss of 23 million souls during the last western nation's invasion has left them psychopathic.

You ignored the sentence just preceding the one you quoted.

Since WWII, what is the history of invasion by countries now apart of NATO without UN approval?

We have the US in Iraq, 2003. What else?

This is also ignoring the nuke factor. If NK can't be taken over b/c they have nukes, then it's even more irrational to be worried. I mean hell, Russia is committing illegal invasions right now and the world is neutered b/c of one reason: nukes.

Russia's recent insanity has both proven (1) why Eastern Europe needs NATO and (2) how they have no rational justification whatsoever. It's an amazing self-fulfilling prophecy.

No.
I simply believe those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

It's likely that a country which suffered such catastrophic human and material loss at the hands of a Western Invader might share such a belief, regardless of timeframe.

It is also possible that a country would feel threatened by an adversary flying nuclear capable bombers 12mi from its borders during NATO exercises. Would a sane person consider nuclear bombers a defensive weapon? Yet there they are, airborne within eyesight of Russia during a NATO military exercise.

We have us in Iraq who else?

Yes Iraq, Yougoslavia, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Lybia, Syria, Yemen nearly every South American country has a covert op to destabilize and try and install US puppets. (Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, chili, Cuba, Venezuela the same as we did in Croatia, Georgia and most recently Ukraine)
