Lindsay Graham says the US has blocked the Pols from giving the Ukrainian’s some Migs.

So the Biden Administration wants to stop a NATO country from giving Ukraine some MiG aircraft even though the Ukraine is under attack. Ukraine did partner with NATO forces during Afghanistan and assisted the war on terror. Joe Biden would rather equip the Taliban with some of the most modern military gear in the world including Blackhawk helicopters but stop Ukraine from receiving aircraft that would help defend Ukraine from Russian jets. I just don’t get it. More civilians have probably died in Russian air strikes than military personnel seems Joe could get out of the way and let those people defend themselves.

I’m a little confused as well. I thought the Biden admin wanted to keep Ukraine in western orbit for a multitude of reasons.
The only logic I can see is if they are afraid it will provoke Putin. Which is just stupid at this point.

Well we didn’t mind giving a bunch of terrorists all kinds of leather weapons and choppers. Nobody want to do a No Fly Zone. If nobody wants to get involved like that then fine. Why would anyone have a problem with Ukrainian pilots defending Ukrainian skies? Giving them jets is no different than giving the stingers. Makes no sense.

Okay, but tell me what Biden has done the last 14 months that would lead you to believe he/his administration would do anything that's logical?
Name a single issue/crisis (real or fake) that he's handled in a logical/forthright way.
Why would anybody think Ukraine would be different?

The best NFZ is one where Ukraine can enforce themselves. Giving them aircraft or drones is no more provocative than giving them stingers or other lethal aid. The only difference is between the 2 is cost. If the US/ NATO was going to give them ICBM’s with nuclear warheads I see how that can be escalating and provoking. Just giving them some jets I don’t see how that’s much different than what we are doing now.

I could make the argument that 1) if Putin wants WWIII, he’ll find a way to get it, regardless, and 2) if NATO doesn’t show some backbone, Putin sees weakness and it may not end with Ukraine.
Appeasing tyranny never ends well. Not doing something because you’re afraid the bully will hit harder/escalate is appeasement. Putin is counting on that weakness from the west.
NATO should do everything they can to make Putin’s mission fail, short of sending troops and firing weapons
