I stayed for that and held on until after Rick beat Negan. But it was difficult to trudge through to that point. ONce the storyline completed I was gladly out.

I think what really finally killed it for me is when I missed out on an entire season because I was already pretty well burned out on the show, then picked back up the following season because my ex still wanted to watch it, and realized that missing that entire season really had no impact on my ability to follow what was going on. Literally nothing had changed. Still the same group of people wandering through the woods.

I watched a few eps past Negan killing the asian kid but stopped after that and never once cared to go back
