Wagner mercenary company representative detained at airport in Moldova, not allowed to enter country

The border police reported on March 12 that they had not allowed a representative of the Russian private military campaign (PMC) Wagner to enter Moldova. The department noted that the man arrived in the country by plane, but he was stopped at the airport.

The police noted that over the past week, 182 foreign citizens and 46 vehicles were not allowed into the country. According to border guards, 165 of them violated Moldovan border and migration legislation.

"The exchange of information allowed us to identify in the flow of passengers at the Chisinau airport a citizen identified as a representative of PMCs from Russia (Wagner). He was not allowed into the country and returned by plane to the state from which he departed, "the police said.
