One of the nagging doubts about Kherson to me is with regards to mobility. UAF use of technicals and modded out vehicles to supplement BMP's has been note worthy.
In Kharkiv, they used Bushmaster's and the M113's for mobility and exploited the general Russian melee and confusion. Tactically astounding.
I'm wary because on surface it seems that they had to cobble all of this transport together.
Ukraine has indeed suffered from a real shortage of vehicles. That's undoubtedly why last week's aid package from the US included:

100 Armored High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV);
Ukraine has needed these for a while, but US logistics can only transport so much at a time, and other needs have been more pressing.

Speaking of aid packages, the Pentagon just announced another $600 million of aid. It's familiar stuff:

Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 36,000 105mm artillery rounds;
- 1,000 precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds;
- Four counter-artillery radars;
- Four trucks and eight trailers to transport heavy equipment;
- Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems;
- Mine clearing equipment;
- Claymore anti-personnel munitions;
- Demolition munitions and equipment;
- Small arms and ammunition;
- Night vision devices, cold weather gear, and other field equipment.

Yeah. More pressing was the need to correct the force imbalance that the Russians initially enjoyed. The earlier Ukrainian defeat at Luhansk made that obvious.
The lack of offensive mobility has always been of concern to me. The use of the technicals at Kherson was a glaring red flag.
However, I was unaware of the HMMWV's on the horizon until you pointed it out.

Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are Claimed to be moving additional Armor/Equipment towards the Border Regions including Tanks and Heavy Artillery as the fighting appears to intensifying, Military Forces from both Countries are now directly Engaged.
Two more of Russia’s satellite states are going to war against each other. Even more problems for old Zvlad.

Ukraine could have all the trucks it needed and it wouldn’t help their logistics much. The road network is terrible and the mud season is coming. What Ukraine needs is locomotives. At anyone time 1/4th - 1/3rd of Ukraine’s freight locomotives are in the shop since the vast majority of its locomotives are 50 year old Soviet era locomotives.
