Both were in each other’s face. Black kid pushed the white kid’s hand away, white kid shoved the black kid with two hands in the chest, then fisticuffs.

Nonsense. The white kid pointed his finger at the black kid which then prompted the black kid to make the first contact by pushing his arm away. Then the white kid pushed back.
