St Tammany Parish School Bus Strike?

Robo call from schools for parents to come pick up kids today due to lack of busses. Rumor is that the bus drivers are going on strike. This is going to be a s**t show.
Anybody else hearing anything on this?

I got the robo call, too but no other details other than come get your kids, and if you can't we'll get them home safe somehow.
Had a robo call too this morning about an incident at Mandeville High about a former student and his dog. My daughter's friend said he went into the gym with his dog, and started cussing out the gym teachers. They were arrested. That's all I've heard.
Sounds like a shitty day for Principal Bruce Bundy.

My kid goes to private school, but rides St Tammany bus. No phone call. I’ll find out in about 15 minutes if the bus ran and report back.

I want to know why in the hell are kids still required to wear masks on the bus but no where else. Stupid!

Went to check mine out early. Coincidentally, the intercom system shut down when parents were in line to check out. I wonder if bus driver sympathizer sabotaged the intercom system.

They want more money to maintain their busses. St Tammany uses own operators.

I would be more sympathetic to their cause if they had given some kind of notice beforehand instead of quitting in the middle of the day leaving kids with no way to get home.
