I’m loving Dying Light 2 so far

I haven’t had a night where I ended up playing well past when I should have gone to sleep in a long time.
The tutorial level is overly long and just doesn’t feel like the rest of the game. Only real complaint so far.
I will say though, I did fee surprisingly sad at the mass suicide race at the beginning.
I’ve played 4-5 hours and there’s so much to do.
Recently I’ve only been playing games as background for audio books or podcasts but I feel more engaged than I have in awhile

how is is compared to the first?
Basically the same?
I was into the the first and the dead island type of games for a while then got kind of bored of the whole zombie thing.

Pretty similar. This pushes the parkour a bit further for being fast. Your base move is as fast as your run in the previous game.
The word is much more alive now in some ways I’ve noticed. Like I randomly dropped into a neighborhood and there were zombies knocking at each door and it was just a “what the frick is going on here”
Combat feels much better from what I’ve seen though I am playing on hard which the way to go and they will hit you hard. Feels a lot more like feinting withdrawing
Music is great.
Some good characters so far. I am actively skipping all the flashbacks though
There is a lot more stealth stuff and sleeping zombies. For the most part it’s optional and I don’t hate it but I hasn’t been drawn to to it. There’s an extended stealth section in a hospital that very much reminded me of Alien Isolation

It’s like An RPG Mirrors Edge with zombies and combat. First person parkour is the main draw of the game. Which is why the tutorial sucks because you don’t really get any of that

I loved the first one. This is nothing like it. So I’m disappointed but am trying to find a way to like it. So far it’s not living up to the original at all.

I have no desire to want to finish this game and I’ve never felt that way with the first game. This game is just that bad.

I'm have a blast with it. It's just so damn buggy. My audio went out again, so I gotta delete and redownload.

The black girl from the police group I was supposed to try and save had zombies glitched in the building she was hiding in. I was so confused lol

The only issue I had is the whole sequence of going from that one map to the other, the cutscenes didn’t show people. And all that was required to fix it was restarting. I just didn’t because it was wildly hilarious for a little bit.

Only glitch I’ve had too. I’d give the game a solid 7/10. It’s good for mindless zombie bashing and the parkour is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The story is bland. Both sides are lame, but the crossbow is beyond OP so it’s worth getting peacekeeper up to level 4 or 5 whichever the crossbow is.
Getting chased by the zombies at night actually gives me the creeps for some reason and gives me goosebumps.
The weapons and gear are absolutely frickin pointless. I have like 10+ legendary weapons and more gear than I know what to do with.
It ain’t great. But it ain’t horrible. Also I never played the first one so I went in blind.

Night was much scarier in the first one in my opinion. Because the chasing zombies were more intimidating
