LSU returns Florida tickets
These tickets were impossible to get and only a select few LSU fans were able to get tickets. Why the hell did LSU return 1,000 tickets to Florida for their fans to buy!

If you look at the sections, they're not visitor sections.

That's ridiculous. LSU put a limit on how many tickets we could buy, and set a priority point ranking requirement for getting tickets at all. Why in the world would they do that if they had extra tickets? I'm pretty pissed off if this is actually what happened. I requested 4 tickets, but only got 2, and now we are going to have to try to get another ticket when we get down there. And all this time LSU is sitting on 1000 extra tickets that they send back?

I kind of questioned whether or not LSU really returned tickets because that didn't make sense. However, the thread made it sound like their ticket office was telling people that the tickets were returned from LSU.

I really don't see how the students combined with season ticket holders didn't snatch these up.
Maybe the poster was incorrect.

someone needs to find out if this is true!! If so,LSU really screwed up.

We are thinking alike.

Something sounds pretty fishy, because I know people that didn't get tickets through TAF because their ranking wasn't high enough...

I don't know how many tickets UF gives the opponent, but I'd be flabergasted to find out there weren't tens of thousands of people demanding tickets from LSU.

If this is true, then Herb Vincent needs to get the spin machine working. Totally unacceptable if LSU sent back that many tickets. I have always been a defender of the Athletic department but if they sent back these tickets and don't have a good excuse, they have lost credibility.
Perhaps they had this scheduled as the student bus trip game and then had to change it to another game?

That's irrelevant, the ticket office could have easily sent out an email and sold them to LSU fans.

It might be because LSU gave students the option to cancel their tickets after they announced Saturday classes. After that, LSU never gave students who didn't qualify the first time the opportunity to purchase the cancelled tickets.

No way that many students cancelled

IF that's the case, it seems that they would have emailed the thousands of TAF members left out in the cold about purchasing the tickets?
