Strangely enough, this is what always happens when communism takes root. It becomes an endless cycle of purging in the never ending quest of ideological purity. The only difference between then and now is that instead of lining people up against a wall, they cancel them. Take their livelihoods, reputation, destroy their relationships and so on. They make them permanently radio active with no opportunity for redemption or forgiveness.
