They both learned how to cheat from the best.

Thing is, it's not really cheating. It's taking a bunch of poorly written rules by the NCAA, finding a shite ton of loopholes and "interpreting" rules differently than other schools, and pushing the envelope. All the while knowing no one is really going to step up and say "Hey, you have tell some of the kids you signed they actually don't have a scholarship"

There's no central database for initial qualifiers, not at the NCAA level, SEC level, nothing. Each school is just keeping track as they see fit, and if the NCAA would eventually come snooping then they would have to defend their position. Otherwise, it's full steam ahead

Unfortunately, LSU compliance is ALWAYS going to take the most risk adverse, narrow view possible when it comes to stuff like this. Never going to be proactive, or innovative in looking for ways to squeeze in extra kids. They are going to go above and beyond to color inside the lines, and we're going to have to just get used to hearing about "no room" at LSU while other schools sign 27 kids a year for 10 years and claim "backcounting"

This is absurd and patently wrong. There are no rules that apply to some and not others. The only way a school signs over 25 initial counters is by not using scholarships in the past recruiting cycle. This stuff about BAMA gaming the system is ridiculous. There is nothing preventing LSU from doing the same if they have carry over scholarships.

I have challenged others to prove their claim and thus far no one has . Your move ......
