Gamers also hate people that mine crypto. Didn't do anything to lessen the price of graphics cards.
The kids that grew up in the 80s and 90s that still play video games now have money and less time to play video games. Paying to 'win' is here to stay.
I'll gladly pay 10-20 bucks for in game cash to buy something that would normally take you days/weeks to farm.

Sure, but I'd wager that's not the majority of gamers, or at least gamers that spend a lot of time and money in-game. Most are kids or young adults.
Pay-to-win was always antithetical to fair gaming, so it moved onto skins and cosmetics. That will likely only accelerate with NFTs. Though, at least it makes a market where you can potentially earn cosmetics and sell them on an NFT market. Whether gamers actually want that or not.. idk. Depending on how it shakes out, it could be a net negative to gaming in general.

Agree. It definitely can work both ways.
I'm not worried about ethics in games. I just want to turn it on and play. I won't miss a second of sleep if some 15 year old is mad that I beat him down with some machine gun I bought for 20 bucks instead of spending countless hours grinding for it.

I use Maps, usually. There are spots where cell coverage is still spotty, so it doesn't hurt to have a physical map - and know how to use it. I've been in some pretty bad blizzards in Eastern Colorado where my cell went dead and I needed to know how to get to the next town.
