Regardless of what O’s reasons were (he might have had the best intentions), at the time, the black players on the team didn’t think O had their back through that whole ordeal. Ryan Clark voiced that frustration, and a number of fans thought any kind of displeasure about it was because he hates whitey.
The evidence was really flimsy, but the rant ran with it and now RC triggers the frick out of them.
