The only thing disappointing about that Bengals game.

Is that when I tried to place a big bet on the Bengals to win, at the point they were down 3-21, my bookie refused.

Had to settle for the second half moneyline.

Just curious, with the legal sports betting apps now, are you still going to keep using your personal bookie?

I will continue using my foreign bookie website for two reasons:

1. When the department of homeland security seized their domain years ago they still paid out. I am loyal because of that.
2. They don’t have to and won’t issue a 1099.

I don't bet very often anymore. Just on games I know I will win....

Last year I predicted a 31-10 Super Bowl. Tried to get the bucs -20, but no one would take the bet. Best I could get was was -10.5. I cleaned up since the score was 31-9.

To answer your question, I am in Houston now. Texas made it so I couldn't bet through Fan Duel and Draft Kings anymore so I found a bookie at a PokerGame. Maybe I will look for online betting.

Yes, it worked out. However, I'm calling bs on placing a BIG bet on Bengals down 21-3 after KC easily scored a TD 3 straight drives. Sounds great in a post though.

I've been thinking about this as well. To me the only real positive to betting with the sports book apps is the free money with promotions. But I would imagine that would gradually become less and less. And for me doesn't outweigh the main 2 positives of betting with my bookie.

1. Get to place bets on credit instead of having to put up the money for every bet upfront.

2. I don't have to worry about all my bets being tracked for tax purposes.

So I'll likely stick with my bookie unless other players leave and he goes out of business

that statement right there, proves the person knows nothing about gambling. If that wasn't enough, he/she claiming tried to get a bet last year TB -20. LOL

I would imagine my track record on sports betting is better than most.
