I wouldn't plan a lot of travel then as you'll want most of the weekends to explore being around. Innsbruck is beautiful its right in the middle of the Alps they are all around you. The town itself is nothing incredible but is a really nice small-mid size "big city".
Bike riding is huge in Austria so I'd look into getting a bike, will also be a fantastic way to explore the city. I'd think you could probably take one on a train? I'm not sure honestly.
