The days I got to hunt this year were like 85 degrees and teal, greys, sprigs, spoonies, and mallards were all flying around. Granted the mallards weren't decoying at all.

I learned long ago that you can never ever predict where and when the big ducks are going to be. Few years back we made a hole in ice in a frozen pond and didn't see nothing for a while and I was talking to my buddy then from over our heads zooming in were like 40 ducks of a very weird assortment (dos gris, blackjacks, woodies, spoonies, and a few grays) swarmed in the broken ice hole. We got what we could, then no more ducks fell for it for another hour or so and we left. Just goes to show the days you think are going to be perfect sometimes aren't.
