Portofino doesn't have a lazy river, but they do have a trampoline park out in the bay. You can also take the boat from their dock to the retail area near the main bridge, where they have go karts, parasailing, etc.

Stayed at Destin West when Covid first started - had never been there before and when schools went virtual like the lat two weeks, we booked it out of NOLA and stayed there two weeks.
We stayed in the beach side condos. Was really nice if a bit on the trashy side because of the cheapo hotel next door with the big pool and cave bar you can use.
You quite literally had you're own Live PD going down about every other day - just needed Dan and that Lieutenant dude to show up with cams and mics.
But we never felt unsafe and it was quite the hoot to observe.
