Wisconsin and Michigan aren't beating out LSU for a local kid, especially a high priority one.

Guy on 247 who knows that family well said just yesterday if Tackett picked today it would be Wisconsin. We are way way behind. Not saying it's impossible but we have a huge uphill battle here. He also said he wants to make a decision before his senior year starts, so we don't have a ton of time. Tackett didn't grow up a huge LSU fan or anything. He pays attention to the schools who pay him attention and we simply didn't under O's watch.

Previous staff all but ignored him compared to the other schools he likes. Said Wisconsin showed way more love for a Top 50 overall kid in LA over us. He even mentioned Blake Baker only texted/called him twice his entire time here.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but he doesn't sign for another 11 months. A lot can happen between now and then. We'll see over the next 7 months what the new staff thinks of him.

If this is true that's somewhere between puzzling and infuriating

That’s both infuriating and inexcusable. Wasn’t Baker supposed to be a good recruiter?

If Polian is half the talent evaluator his father was, then this staff should be all over talented kids like Tackett, regardless of star rating.
