He was sitting in a well-kept apartment complex and a bullet from a crappy 70s-construction complex just happened to get him. It's not a particularly bad area and some people decided to act like idiots. No one was trying to rob or kill anyone.
Not sure what to think about it, other than that we need to stop glorifying casually messing around with firearms. There's a guy who calls himself "Young Gunna" selling millions of downloads and winning awards on TV, FFS.

Where do you live? I lived in Brookhaven for 7 years until 6 months ago, the first 2 years of which were in an apt very near where this happened. "Brookhaven" itself is very nice and affluent yes but this area is on the actual edge of town. It's not a ghetto by any means and I wouldnt call it "bad" but it damn sure isn't very nice. I moved away from that apt for a reason. Rent was so affordable that more and more of the neighbors were trashy minorities and my neighbor actually got raised for running a prostitution ring.
