quote:so the winningest or second winningest coach in the SEC over the last 3 years is a bad coach. Gotcha.

So every school that has a new basketball coach should expect a National Championship by year 5? Only Kentucky, Florida and Arkansas have won National Championships with the most recent being nearly 10 years ago. Until very recently, the SEC was an afterthought besides Kentucky for being a dominant basketball conference.
I've only been following College Basketball for 50 years and have rarely seen such a phenomena of a new coach putting together a champion within five years. There's a a lot of truth to the belief of "Blue Bloods" in College Basketball. I'm not sure Baylor has reached that "blue blood" level as yet. Its only been a couple of years since Gonzaga has been so recognized and they've been winning a massive quantity of their games [facing extensive non-conference opponents] for nearly two decades. And they have yet to win a National Championship. This simply isn't the equivalent of the SEC West which dominates college football year in and year out.
